Enzen has been awarded for its exemplary performance in power utilities, after winning two categories at the 2009 India Power Awards.
The first award was in the 'Energy Efficiency, Conservation and Demand Side Management' category, where Enzen was recognised for an Agriculture Demand Side Management project to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
"Before we look at ways to generate extra power, we must look at ways to plug the leakages in the system we use and optimize their performance," said Satheesh Kumar, CEO, Enzen Global Solutions.
"At Enzen, we believe that Energy Efficiency and Demand Side Management have a big role to play in the energy security of the nation. The award is the vindication of this belief."
The 'Innovative IT Application in Utility Management' award was for Enzen's iDMS, the Integrated Distribution Management System implemented for Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitaran Nigam Limited (DHBVN).
The iDMS brings control, coordination, transparency and information accessibility to the power distribution system.
"The iDMS has been tailored to suit Indian distribution companies," said Mr. R.K. Khudia, Chief General Manager, DHBVN. "It will be of great value to them and is very easy to implement and use."
