Harsha Anand is a utilities industry thought leader with more than 25 years’ of international consulting experience across Europe, Asia, the Americas and Australia. A senior executive and transformation specialist, Harsha has a proven track record for building successful multi-million utilities consulting businesses.
He is one of the founding members of Enzen. Harsha combines a unique and bespoke portfolio of skills, encompassing mergers and acquisitions, strategy consulting, regulations and policy, business transformation, change management, organisation design, system integration and industry separation. Well-known for his breadth and depth of utilities knowledge and his ability to convert this into transformative advisory solutions, Harsha is passionate about the power of innovation to secure the long-term sustainability of energy and water.
He creates a difference at Enzen by anticipating future trends and continually developing and applying his knowledge, something he has done consistently throughout his career for customers. Most recently at Enzen, he has been instrumental in creating a series of advisory proprietary tools designed to reinvent how utilities organise themselves for the challenges of the 21st century.
Thoughtful and imaginative in his approach, Harsha has delivered more than £1.5 billion cost efficiencies in energy affordability in his career, and enabled sustainable savings of more than 50,000 tonnes of carbon emissions to over 67 million customers across the world.
Harsha is passionate about achieving net zero so that we leave a better world for our next generation. He is spearheading our thought leadership and work in future networks, distribution system operator models, transaction networks and peer-to-peer energy trading.
Harsha was awarded the prestigious Leadership Award by the UK’s Utilities and Services Industries Trust in 2016. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from University Visveswaraya College of Engineering and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and London Business School.
Harsha embraces ‘work hard, play hard’ and believes in prioritising both professional growth and personal enjoyment. Outside of work, he has a thriving social life and loves spending time with his family, friends and the local community. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, cycling, singing, cricket and calligraphy. He has a loving family consisting of his wife, son and an adorable Fox Red Labrador.
