As CEO of Enzen Spain, Jose is leading his team into a new phase of renewables and advisory growth.
Since joining Enzen in 2019, Jose has expanded Enzen’s renewable energy footprint in Europe, South and North America. His achievements include forging strategic partnerships with major players in the renewables and advisory spaces in the Caribbean, Europe and the US.
Through collaboration with customers, investors, regulators and wider Enzen colleagues, Jose helps accelerate our industry's transition to more sustainable energy models, focused on expanding our market presence in Iberia and the Americas.
As well as spearheading the creation of innovative renewables and advisory services which deliver value to clients, Jose also focuses on new geographies with Enzen's traditional end-to-end utility solutions.
Jose has 22 years' professional experience across strategy consulting and finance. Previous employers include Merrill Lynch, CREARA and Roland Berger. During his career he has delivered strategic engagements in the UK, USA, Spain, France, Italy, India and Latin America.
He has an MBA from INSEAD and Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford. Truly passionate about building a more sustainable world through innovative models in energy, he is an Adjunct Professor for Negotiation and the Energy Access Challenge for Bachelor’s and Master’s courses at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
Out of work, Jose is husband to Paula and father to a boy and two girls. He is an avid scholar of global history and a lifelong supporter of Real Madrid. When he has time, he also enjoys playing chess and padel tennis.
