As the gas industry adapts to a cleaner, greener future, Simon Harrison leads Enzen’s team to ensure that our gas customers maximise the opportunities of the energy transition.

He works with all major gas networks in the UK, focusing on first-class execution and developing innovative solutions that drive value and support networks to achieve their net zero objectives. A well-renowned industry leader specialising in transformation with more than 30 years of experience, Simon has a rich pedigree in major change programmes and strategic consultancy across gas, water, power and transport.

For Enzen he the programme director for UK Power Networks’ landmark Business Transformation Programme (BTP), which completely transformed the company’s organisation, processes and digital capabilities. Under Simon’s leadership, the BTP delivered significant operating efficiencies, a step-change in customer service, regulatory improvements and increased shareholder returns. The programme is recognised as the most far-reaching utility transformation programme globally, often cited as a best practice case study.

Simon’s expertise is advisory on new distribution network operating models, with a particular focus on enterprise-wide transformation, digital strategy, decarbonisation and market flexibility, plus change leadership and smart metering. Formerly of CGI, Capgemini and Ernst and Young, Simon has worked extensively at Board-level with CEOs and executives across the UK utilities industry. This included reporting directly to four gas industry CEOs while leading the UK gas industry’s separation programme.

Simon is passionate about driving the UK utilities industry through a period of unprecedented change, harnessing creativity and collaboration to create the smart networks and digital utilities of the future. He takes an open approach to his work, which builds trust with customers and colleagues, and is thankful for having many trusted executive relationships across the industry.

Outside of work, Simon is a football fan who supports West Ham United, a keen golfer and guitarist. He lives in Surrey with his partner and their 15 year-old daughter. He has an MBA from London Business School.
