The India Economic Summit took place last week, organised in Sydney by the Australian Financial review to look at India's economic rise over the next 20 years and the transformational opportunities through increased investment and trade for Australia, Timed to coincide with the release of the India strategy report titled ' An India economic strategy to 2035, Navigating from Potential to Delivery '.
The Summit saw The President of India, His Excellency Ram Nath Kovind and the Prime Minister of Australia Hon Scott Morrison as Keynote speakers at this prestigious event.
The Report was commissioned by the Federal Government and prepared by Peter N Varghese AO, Chancellor of University of Queensland and former Australian High Commissioner to India. The report recommends targets to raise Australian exports to India from $14 Billion to $45 Billion and increase Australia's investment in India to rise from $10 Billion to $100 Billion by 2035.
The Prime Minister, the Hon. Scott Morrison made reference to Enzen as an example of how collaboration between the two countries can create economic opportunities for both Nations.
