Next week, Enzen will proudly sponsor the Northumbrian Water Group’s annual Innovation Festival.
As a countdown to the event, every day this week we’re looking at a different Enzen innovation that’s helping make energy and water more accessible, affordable and sustainable. This time round it's ZenLight Smart Street Lighting.
Street lights account for approximately 4-5% of a nation’s energy consumption. To help develop the sustainable smart cities of the future, Enzen has developed ZenLight Smart Street Lighting to conserve energy and create efficiencies for citizens.
Lower energy bills
Powered by solar-wind hybrid generation and operated by smart controllers, ZenLight cuts energy costs and reduces dependency on the grid, while still working 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week within existing regulatory frameworks. ZenLight not only reduces energy consumption, but also results in lower energy bills for the unmetered street lights.
Partnership solution
In a further innovation, ZenLight uses a public-private partnership model that combines the assets and resources of local authorities, local power distribution networks, community energy partners and equity partners.
